Credit Risk Analyst - New Business
JOB PURPOSE: Monitor, challenge and develop the performance of credit policy to increase profitability.
SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES: Analyse and develop existing and new strategies, maintaining an acceptable level of risk. Produce and distribute appropriate management information reports to business areas and communicate key issues. · Apply knowledge of credit risk or New Business tools to improve business processes or procedures. Provide support to business area where queries arise regarding decisions made. Monitor current application of policy identifying deficiencies against predictions and areas for improvement. Measure quality of decision-making and recommend improvements. Investigate and resolve complex system queries. Communicate with Credit Risk management team, and other business areas to ensure integrity and follow up of Credit Risk policy and that business need are met.
ACCOUNTABLE FOR: Analysing and developing new and existing new business strategies. Producing and interpreting monthly new business management information and analysis. Providing support to the Underwriting and Fraud operational team
TECHNICAL PROFILE: Analytical Graduate within a numerate discipline Minimum of 12 months analytical or strategic experience Experience of developing models to analyse data. Ability to challenge current ideas to drive optimal strategies. New Business industry knowledge. Experience of working in a Credit Risk - New Business environment would be advantageous. Experience of SAS, SQL and advanced Excel would be advantageous. Knowledge and experience of New Business strategy tools (Strategy Manager* Autoscore) would be advantageous.
